Big Foot Trap - Applegate

Applegate Lake: Big Foot Trap
Believe in Big Foot? Or just a little curious. If this is the case then Collings Mountain trail is the hike for you. Just past the entrance of Hart-tish Park Collings Mountain takes you on a ¾ mile hike to the Big Foot Trap. A miner sighted a footprint and in the early 1970s a steel trap was constructed in the attempt to catch him. An old miners cabin still stands at this sight and so does the trap. Collings Mountain trail is an easy walk for all ages and what could be more exciting then to see where Big Foot himself actually was.
